Wandel & Goltermann is well known around the world for their high quality measurement and analysis equipment. The company was founded in Germany in 1923 by Wolfram Wandel and Ulrich Goltermann and initially produced radio receivers and amplifiers. After World War II ended they redirected their focus toward designing and manufacturing measurement technology. Their extensive product line grew to include a wide variety of precision instruments including signal analyzers, communications test sets, signal generators, PCM channel measurement equipment, network analyzers, noise measurement solutions, as well as fiber optic analysis equipment including optical attenuators and optical power meters. In 1998 Wandel & Goltermann merged with the Wavetek Corporation and became Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann. In 2000 Wavetek Wandel & Goltermann merged with TTC and became Acterna which was later acquired by JDSU in 2005. Throughout this period of time Wandel & Goltermann continued to manufacture test equipment of the highest caliber and you'll find their equipment in use in a broad variety of industries to this day.
